The SSA has been defrauded by the Illinois TRS by not allowing certified teachers to contribute from wages earned while employed as a school teacher...thus requiring the teacher to pay into FICA...tax payers across America, by default are picking up the tab for the TRS. Retired teachers are losing part of their pension because when they pay into FICA they are subjected to WEP...nice plan by a retirement system to avoid benefit obligations.

TRS will admit they required teachers to pay into SS....call them and see what they say.
